Watering Can upgrade
Iv upgraded the Watering Can to Iron and other than an increase in storage for water I dont see any other benifits, though the wiki says it should be watering 3 spaces a time at copper and 5 spaces a time with Iron. Has this been changed but the Wiki not updates, is this a bug or am I missing an important step in the upgrading process?

You have to click and hold down to get the can to water more. When you hold down longer it will go through the various "stages" of watering. 3-space, 5-space, 3x3-square, and finally 3x6-square. Hope that helps. :)

Depends on the situation you find yourself in. I invested into the upgraded watering can and never had a regret about it. Still had plenty of cash, and combined with sprinklers I end up finishing my chores very early on in the day, and at a rather early point in my adventures.

Just depends on what kinda farm you wanna make, where your gaming priorities rest...how much cash is enough for you and how much you really want to plant, what parts of the process you find enjoyable~

Unless you are super lucky and can either make enough Quality Sprinklers, or get enough iridium to make the Iridium ones, then the upgrade is good until you can get the iridium sprinklers. I've always upgraded and never regretted it. Mainly cause I want more crops and less sprinklers, but that's just me.

I build the 2nd Sprinklers and had no use for the watering can. But as you said, I made so much money and had enough iridium by year 2, I could easily upgrade it. My point is, that it has no real priority in the beginning, especially since you can´t water without it - and therefore miss out on money.

I think the copper and iron cans are a priority, since you'll get those before you have gold available for the sprinklers. After that it becomes a matter of personal preference (some people just like watering crops).

Turn it in the day before it rains. Water whatever needs watering, then give the can to Clint. The next day the rain will take care of everything and then the day after that, you can retrieve the can from Clint and then go about your chores.

I upgraded the watering can during the last few days of the season when I know the only crops left are ones that won't produce another harvest in time.

Its not, if you worked hard and unlocked quality sprinklers by summer. Which isn't hard at all so long as you worked hard at farming and getting down the mine. The only time I've found my watercan upgrade useful in three playthroughts was watering multi containers at once in the slime hutch.

Spring crops are worth so very, very, little, but you need that exp.

Oh yes, I totally forgot that. So yeah, that alone is worth the upgrade - with a very low priority however.
