Fairy Rose Honey heavily OP!?
Did you already notice, that fairy rose honey sells for 680g each? If you plant fairy roses next to a beehive, that beehive will only produce fairy rose honeys.
Compared to wild honey (100g) and tulip honey (160g) it's way overpriced, don't you think? It should get nerfed in a new build.

Don't build it if you feel it's overpowered?
Why do you want it to get nerfed?
Does someone farming a truckload of Fairy Rose Honey on their own farm affect you somehow?

Play the game how you like it, why force others to your play-style?

I agree that it may be a bit much.

But I think wild honey should be around 100-200 (quality dependant), flower honey around 200-300 (quality) and fairy rose honey 400-500. Would properly tier it and compensate you for the effort.

Disregard honey, obtain ancient fruit wine.

No, keep the honey as a crafting mat and collect the crap out of it. Craft the foods that require honey, sell stacks, profit. Or use as a health/stamina pick-me-up in the mines.

Or use the wine as you see fit, works as well.

Shen, is there a way to get higher quality honey so far? If not, I like the idea. The quality of the honey may depend on the quality of the surrounding flowers.
Black Mambo/Tyrian, I don't force others to my play-style, since I'm not even talking about my play-style. I talk about the game design. You asked why I would suggest to nerfe it: Balancing is also important in a single-player game to keep it challenging. Wild honey already got nerfed in an earlier build. Maybe this could be an idea, since SV with its variety of items is hard to balance. However, I would like to ask you to be less harsh and stop attacking me for no reason.

How can something in a singleplayer game be OP, especially if it's a casual game?

I'm confused.

A sword that kills everything in one hit is still OP, even if you're playing a singleplayer game.

Well, yes.

But that depends on if the game sees it as OP or not.
I don't know what I'm saying.

How can fairy rose honey be OP? Those fairy roses take a long time to grow and only grow in one season, so you get like 3-4 batches of the honey a year (per beehive of course)
McGoodGreen May 2, 2016 @ 9:54am
Fairy rose honey is just fine. You can only get it during ONE seeason (since the greenhouse does not allow bees to produce...at least...they did not when I tried), and they do take a while to grow. You will hardly get an "over powered" sum of cash from your investment.

There are far easier, much more "powerful" ways of making money that I would rather be balanced out over this honey.

I don't see it as OP at all considering the selling price for Sweet Gem Berry and Ancient Fruit Wine. Both crops can be grown all year long once you unlock the greenhouse. Sure you would have to keep using the Seed Maker on the lower quality Sweet Gem Berry just to keep planting more seeds but the Ancient Fruit doesn't need replanting at all by doing this.

Ancient Fruit Wine sells for 2250g but if you pick the Artisan Profession the selling price boosts to 3375g. High quality Sweet Gem Berry sells for 4950g. Both sell for way more then the Fairy Rose Honey. Heck even if you desided to get the Agriculturist skill to boost the crops growth rate combined with Deluxe Speed-Gro the faster growth rates will make up the lower price on Ancient Fruit Wine because you will have more fruit to make wine out of for selling.

Agree with ExiledAlchemist. once you get the greenhouse, 116 Ancient Fruit plants producing every 7 days with 116 casks gives about 350,000g every week all year round.

fairy rose honey? you get that a few times each year.

maybe you and I have different definitions of "OP"?

Someone said that 200 Blueberry crops makes for a broken game. I'm tempted to try that sometime. :>

My greenhouse full of ancient fruit + my winery poops all over everything. Yes, I manually water em. Keeps Turd Cutter busy.
