About playing this without Steam

So I already have this game on Steam, my question is, does this game work without having steam installed like some other games if I put it on our second PC, or would I need to log into my steam account from that PC and download it there aswell?

I think it would still run (it runs offline and is sold outside of steam), but you obviously wouldn't get steam-connected achievements.

Stupid question, but how can I put this on my laptop? Right now I'm playing it on my desk pc, but it would be nice to be able to play it on my laptop as well. Also, would it be the same game?

Thanks Tsaiireii. Don't care about the achievements that much, I can always get those if I play on this PC.

As to MadamLizzy. If this can run without Steam. Then go to the game on your Library. Right click it. Choose Properties. Go to the tab called Local Files. Click Browse Local Files. Then when in that folder, go up/back one folder, the folder should be called common. Then select the Stardew Valley folder and copy it to your desktop, then copy it to your Laptop via either an external harddrive or a memory stick, or whatever you use for it.

But I guess you could also log into the steam app from your laptop and download it like that. Never tried that one before, so it might not work.

U need the save file, is in the folder Roaming.

I know if you run mods, with SMAPI, you can simply run it to completely bypass Steam, or connect it to Steam for achievments
