Is it possible to progress a relationship if you have yet to encounter a relationship event?

I'm trying to romance Penny and I've progressed to 4 hearts. In order to trigger Penny's 4 heart event, I need to enter the trailer when she is in her trailer and it is unlocked. The problem is that summer just started in the game and she leaves the trailer at 5 (before it's unlocked) and returns at 8 (right as it locks). What I'm asking is: If I kept giving her presents and talked to her whenever possible, is it possibel to bypass the 4 heart event and still get the other events; or am I going to haft to wait until the fall to progress with her?

Yes. I think I've even seen 10-heart events before 8-heart events. You can keep gaining hearts and don't have to do the events in order.

You can't bypass the other events. You'll need to do them in order. That shouldn't prevent you from continuing to raise her heart level, of course.

Isn't there a day in summer when she goes home early, or leaves late, to do the dishes? Must be.

or do the events stack? Like, I can get the relationship to rank 6 but I can't access the rank 6 event until I trigger the rank 4 event?

I'm pretty sure I did Alex's 10 heart event in my first year, and didn't do his 8 heart event until summer year 2.

Then I'll take your word for it, at least in Alex's case. I don't have information to refute that.

You can still do the other heart events even if you've gone over the required hearts. Which is neat'.

I got Shane's 2-heart event when I was at 6 hearts with him.

I agree, I got abigails 10 heart event, left the mine and then saw her 8 heart event. So you are able to get Penny's 6 heart event, and then her 4 heart event at a later date.

I'm pretty sure I've seen events out of order before. Sabation to be specific.
