How to catch a carp?

I try at the lake next to the mine but how do i catch it. I have been trying for about 2 in game months and havent managed to get one. Anyone know anything?

Wait, you couldn't catch CARP? Carp is the single easiest fish to catch in the entire game. Maybe you are trying to fish in the winter? Carp disappear in the winter.

Or maybe you're saying that you don't know how to fish at all? Please clarify.

Probably because it is available in winter - but only in certain locations that may or may not be accessible to you. You might not think to fish there, either. In the "normal" fishing locations, it is not available in winter.

yea like i heard you can find it in the sewer and i havent unlocked that yet

Precisely. The Wiki is confusing in that regard, but I guess it can be forgiven because Carp is the only fish that has such behavior (disappearing from most locations during a certain season, but not from all of them)
