Honestly, I don't sweat those kinds of messages. They're not quests, and I figured there'd eventually be a day where I'd be trying to get to Pierre's and wander in for other reasons and the cutscene would trigger. Sure enough, it happened long after I forgot that Abby asked me about it.
This "don't-give-an-eff" cutscene strategy has successfully netted me pretty much every heart-level milestone with all the characters I've befriended. You'll get them as you play the game, as long as you're not neglecting one area completely in your play style (like, never going to the mountains or the beach, or never entering certain houses to say 'sup to the residents).
