As for just making it in the kitchen... It'd either need to be a new mechanic, or be a pointless recipe we have to unlock, so... Nah, I'm good.
It'd just make an achievement or two a little more of a grind.
No real drawbacks, but no real benefits either. Only a waste of time for the dev to program it in, and a waste of time for players who are trying to complete all their achievements. (imo)
True enough. I'm not opposed to the idea as a kitchen recipe. That's fine. More recipes to find.
Hey it can give people incentives to actually purchase orange trees once they have enough money, and who says it has to be a recipe that needs to be learned or added to the lexicon? It could simply be something you make in the morning and take into the caves with you, hack the benefits could be several fold. Actually it would be nice to have a juice maker to turn fruits into juice quickly for the player to use, again something like that can't hurt, because there's a lot of things in the game anyone can call pointless but hey they exist for options.
The part enjoying a cup of OJ and knowing that your character won't catch a cold while working on the farm ;).
