I don't doubt there's a mod that unlocks the spa immediately on the Steam version of the game.
Even with the mods mentioned above, you don't have a bathroom in your house until you upgrade it, so thats not right at the beginning either. Accept and work thru the challenges.
I'm quite aware of how this makes sense from a storytelling and gameplay balance perspective. But I can only muse how much of a difference it could make if the spa were available right there and then.
It's basically the same as people who have late-game convenience mods that make stuff super easy - just at a different part of the game and much less influential.
As for the person who posted this thread, join another account by making a cabin and logging on, in multiplayer staying in your bed has the same effect as the spa, you could also play with the other account while you heal up on energy to make the most of your time.
