I'll be happy to be more limited in what I can do for a little while, but I'm sure by the time Winter is over I'll be happy to get back to the normal farming too :D Especially since it will be my 2nd year and I know so much more about what I'm doing and want / need to do now.
Anyway I have my cows I need to take care of even though it's extremely brief, I considered it and kept with just my cows for now. I didn't add chickens for the Winter, I'll add the coop this next year instead.
In my first year I had way too many farm animals to feed and I ran out of hay quickly :P In your second year see if you can get the greenhouse it is a huge help cuz crops inside of it keep growing no matter what the season is, so you get to farm in winter :D
i also plant trees pretty heavily in the summer so there are plenty of trees to cut down over the winter.
Oh god I had completely forgot about the winter seeds you could craft T_T
If I had more kegs and preserve jars I would do the same, also the crystalarium helps a bit depending what gem you put in it, I just shoved in a amethyst that was stupid of me cuz now I cant put a diamond in it, I plan on crafting another crystalarium tho.
