Multiplayer is 1.1 or different?

I read the August 6th blog from CA on official website. ( http://stardewvalley.net/ )
What I didn't understand is that -- Multiplayer is part of 1.1 or it is a separate update later on?
He doesn't mention working on multiplayer in that blog post though.

Not that I am in a hurry for multiplayer, but just asking whether 1.1 will have multiplayer considering that from his blog it seems 1.1 is close to ready.

MP and 1.1 are seperate from eachother, but at the end of the note it says that MP is in active development a long with console versions and localizations.
So, I assume in a few months.

I was under the impression from a previous blog post that MP and 1.1 would be same.

Nowhere on the store page does it list multiplayer as a feature, and I bought it not knowing about the planned multiplayer and perfectly happy with it being only singleplayer. Multiplayer is a planned feature that CA needs to give us, yes, but it is not what you paid for. You paid for the game as-is.

if you look at the greenlight version of Stardew, multiplayer was already in the game, it's pretty cool seeing greenlight to now versions.

According to the different blogs I've read from CA, MP will be available by the end of the year.

End of the year? There is a mod on the nexus recently that allows coop and it actually works pretty well. Played 7 days with a friend without issue. Seems to cover everything. Why is it taking them so long to implement?

No, I paid for the game as-is, and the future content that was advertised.

It's the same as an early access title. You're paying for the game as-is, but you're also paying for the future content you've been promised, be it something specific or just "more ♥♥♥♥ will be coming"

I paid for it knowing full well that development could stop tomorrow. It's not early access, and multiplayer was not advertised on the store page, nor was any future promises of multiplayer.
