Corn randomly dieing?
I have 624 pieces of corn, its summer day 17 and i found a few dead ones when they dont have any reason to die. Iridium sprinklers are giving them water. all of them are in the range of said water source. Ideas?

In the summer for some reason it likes to rain a lot and if you don't have lightning rods are they already got zapped then your crops can get zapped also, that happened to be a few times and I didn't understand it til I check the internet

Yeah, a lot of them, and the corn died in random places. So even if there was a hole between 2 of my scarecrows then why is there no pattern? There are dead corn very close to my scarecrows.

Oh. Damnit.

Sometimes crops will still randomly disappear, even when fully watered, right next to a scarecrow, lots of lightning rods and without any storms yet that summer. It happened to a few of my blueberries in summer, and I know for a fact there hadn't been any lightning whatsoever, so don't tell me it was lightning (every time i've brought this up everybody says lightning did it).

Lightning can still strike when all the rods are busy making batteries; at that point it behaves as though there are no rods since none are actually available/"unoccupied" at that moment.

Crows can sometimes eat seeds or kill plants; scarecrows should prevent that but I *think* there are still ways that crows can become bold enough to even ignore the scarecrows (it would be a factor of how many seeds you've planted, how many scarecrows there are, maybe the weather or time of season... I just remember that crows have different levels of activity, and that scarecrows are more effective when they overlap).

I've had some random, unaccounted for crop deaths too, which I've been putting down to crow attacks since I recall that they mostly happened on clear days -- generally through Fall when there's no lightning around at all.

If a crow eats a crop it wont leave anything behind. I was talking about wilted crops. And im pretty sure it was lightning as i didn't place lightning rods and oddly enough it happened after a storm. But FYI, it was in summer, with 624 pieces of corn, 16 iridium sprinklers keeping them watered and there was atleast 30 scarecrows around them. Atleast 1 Scarecrow for 1 set of sprinklers

I only ever lose crops after it rains more than one day in a row. I'm pretty sure that there's a small chance for a crop to just up and die instead of advancing its' growth cycle.
