What Iridium Tool should be my top priority.
I'm still in my first year, and I just got my 5th Iridium bar. I wont be getting any more iridium for a long time I'm sure, so I just want to use it up for now and upgrade a tool, but which one?

If you insist on using it on a tool I would suggest the pick axe. But really, I would recomend instead that you use it on the sprinklers. Much more usefull at that point in the game.

If you can get the bus stop up and running anytime soon, I'd vote the pickaxe. If you have a good pickaxe, you can work your way through the Skull Mines much faster, making it more likely that you'll find more iridium for further upgrades and other uses.

Iridium tools just makes work faster, it doesn't unlock new objects to break. So depends on which tool you use most.

Everybody is telling you to use it for sprinklers, but don't use it for sprinklers. Use it for your Watering Can.

You can buy Iridium Sprinklers from Krobus on fridays once you've unlocked his shop, but having that watering can maxed out makes it much easier/faster to water your fields after your initial planting for the start of the season.

After that, you can either start upgrading your other tools or craft crystalariums to produce gems.

I'm in Winter of my 2nd year and I think I've gotten maybe 6 Iridium Bars over that time. And you got 5 in Year 1.

How???

Dumb luck. I've gotten 2 bars from Slimes in the skull cavern, and 3 bars worth from geodes and the quarry.

Oh, well, I took my time with the Mines, but it seems like you blasted through them.

In most cases you will want a watering can, pickaxe, hoe, axe, in this order.
If you go to the mines all time and completely ignore crops, then you should get the pickaxe first.

Get the pickaxe. You can use just use quality sprinklers instead of iridium sprinklers. They are much easier to make.

Why watering can first? He can just use sprinklers (quality sprinklers first) and get a pickaxe first even if he does care about crops...

1 sprinklers are not very effective, you need alot of them and they take 1 sqm each
2 they are boring, like the auto feed feature from deluxe barn and coop (the biggest game flaw in my opinion). There is not a good reason to play if you put everything in automatic mode.
3 lots of resources to make many, also extra scarecrows, lighting rods...

1. Iridium ones are, and quality ones aren't too shabby for year 1 and even for year 2 if you're making slow progress. I've never seen a productive farm on these forums that doesn't use sprinklers.
2. You put your farm on automatic mode so you can go mine, fish, or socialize and try to make friends in town. Who works and works until 4 P.M. just to be able to play freely afterward? I try to be ready to do what I want by 11 A.M. so I can catch an early ride to the Skull Caverns, unless it's a bad luck day in which case I work on my farm or check for quests at Pierre's.
3. Lightning rods are easy to make with a recycling machine or a crystalarium and if you have a lot of them then you can get 100+ battery packs a year. Scarecrows shouldn't be a problem if you know where to get easy materials (floors 11-29 and 91-110 in the normal mines).

And i disagree with everything you said period.
There is no point in this, thats my hints for the the guy that did this thread. He could even play as a lumberjack and only make profit by selling wood and sap... The game is a sandbox and i like to play it as a legit Harvestmoon game.

The issue is that you called an optional upgrade and gameplay mechanic a "flaw" in the game. It's not a flaw. It's an option. You don't have to use it. Boom, problem solved.
