How to turn off Music

I cannot figure out how to COMPLETELY turn off the in game music and to be honest it keeps me from playing. Please let me know how to do this.

Sound effects also? Use the windows sound options for stardew. Music in the options +/or on the Menu screen. left top. klick on the note

You don't like the music? It seems everyone loves the music, why don't you like it?
Also, just look in settings. There's a setting.

You have to scroll down when you're in the settings. There are probably a lot more options than you realize, including music volume.

Yea, there is a music note up in the upper left corner. Click on that and, ta -daaa - no music. I personally love the music.

I would like to be able to turn off music temporarily through the settings tab in-game. Unless I'm missing something, you can only turn it off from the main menu when loading a game. I have the game paused a lot, so if I am, for example, checking out a video or something online, I'd like to be able to turn off the game sound since it's still running while paused in the background.

You need to/can turn down the music ingame in the menu, just go into the options (the controller symbol in your menu) and then just turn it to zero.

I like the music myself, but i cannot listen to it all the time while playing, sometimes i switch to soundtracks of "snes classics" or just death metal (while watering my plants), anyways, great music but sometimes i need a break and turn the ingame-music down.
