Harvesting is getting boring
Noob here, only just made it to fall. I planned on expanding my farm to a very large size now that I have decent cash flow. However, I stopped right in my tracks as soon as I got visions of having to harvest the damn thing. I can't imagine running around frantically left-clicking and constantly being asked "Do you want to eat xx?" because I accidentially mis-clicked.

Is there a faster harvesting method later in the game?

I think games like Farming Simulator and Factorio have definitely spoiled me, so I take full blame for sounding like a whiner.

Thanks. And may your farms produce supple and delicious fruits.

Why are you left clicking? Hold down your left mouse buttton to keep harvesting. And you have to right click to eat anything. Do not right click.

Why would you complain about that and not be happy when given a solution?
Are you purposely still doing that to keep getting the message?

And why can't you use the wiki?

Why can't you...gee I dunno...♥♥♥♥ off?

I sit in the middle of a 3 by 3 square and click the entirety of the plot without moving. The game is only looking to make sure the square your pointing at is adjacent to you to be able to use it. So by positioning yourself deliberately and not run around frantically you'll end up harvesting accurately and quickly instead of fumbling around.

Thanks for a well-written and helpful answer. I wish there were more people like you here. So far, it looks like there are no automated ways, hopefully this could be added in the future of the game. But this tip makes it easier to harvest without being clumsy.

you shouldn't say that just because he spoke, try and listen at least if you want an answer, he did explain the usage of the wiki

I just normally stand in the middle of a plot(I make rows of 20) and harvest the ones around me, move to the middle of another plot etc. You can get 10,000 gold from 36 pumpkins!(I did):steamhappy:
It would be kinda nice if your spouse also helped out - especially if they didnt have to water any more due to the sprinklers. But yea getting a huge harvest can be a pain. You might want to time them differently if you dont want to do a HUGE lot of them at once. Also - if you want to use the right click make sure you select another object that doesnt hurt your harvest or is edible - i generally have my water can selected when i pick up items and use right click.

Hold something like your scythe and hold your button to automatically harvest. No need to act like a brat
Simple answer. No, Go for smaller farmlands instead. There's no rush or time limit so no need to min/max anything. My current farm has 6 slime hutches and an apple orchard. Not good money but it's what I wanted to do.

If you don't want to harvest the stuff... stop playing.

Hiya, yeah, I think if you left click you won't have this problem. Right clicking makes you eat the crops. Hope I helped! :3

Harvest things better. Have an equipment item selected and hold right mouse click everything.

Nothing else is faster than this. No tools of crafting or buildings will make it faster.

Does your spous pick your crops by anychance, I remember that thay water them if they are happy but I cant remember if they harvest them as well from the last time I skimed over the marriage part of the wiki

Later on you can get sprinklers to make watering a lot easier. Other than that, not much automation. It should be fine, I mean, not a huge farming game fan but when I see those mass Parsnips waiting to be picked up it makes me get wet for a moment.
I suppose its something off your personal preference. For full on automation you should check out Factorio, for example.

No, they don't. They just water unwatered crops, fix some fences, refill your pet's water bowl and I think they also feed your animals. But that's it.
