Egg variety
So, I was wondering... what is the difference between white and brown eggs? I always get brown eggs and only brown eggs, but a large white egg is a requirement for the community center animal bundle. Am I just getting unlucky and only getting a certain variety of chicken? Do I get a random type of chicken from Marnie?

Brown egg from brown chicken. White egg from white chicken. It's all random. Read the wiki.

Ok. I couldn't find enough info on the wiki. I guess I just had bad luck with buying chickens. I'll keep buying them until I get a white chicken.

Save your money. Upgrade your coop to lvl 2, and hatch the eggs. I got my brown chicken right away with luck from hatching the egg from a white chicken. If it gets full, you can sell the chickens then. Profit.

For normal needs, egg's colours variations dont afffect quality, their price + post-product's price are same . For the Community Center bundle, you may want to find a white chicken for normal egg (white egg) by buying new one from Marnie. If you dont have slot in coop, just sell one and buy another until get the right one, or upgrade coop for more slot.

Rarely, you can also cheat by checking Traveling cart on Friday and Sunday, to see if she sell things you need, but iirc never saw egg in her list, though I bought various crops/product to complete bundles without making them.

Thanks both. One of my coops has been upgraded to a big coop, so if I really can get a white chicken from a brown egg, I'll have to repetitively try that.

I have seen both large brown and white eggs on travelling merchant cart, also regular ones. You could buy a white egg from her and hatch it, might be cheaper than continually buying chicks to try to get a white one
