6 Pumpkins, a flower, a grape and corn should get you second place on the first year, its hard to win first place on the first year, so yh lol. You still get quite a lot of star points then you can just gamble them (green has a higher success rate) at the fair and get 2000 for a stardrop :orb:

I put 3 legendary fish + just about anything else and win every year :)

If I fill with all gold star items (plus the fish), I score 97 and win.

Not that hard actually. I saved a few gold star crops, caught a few gold star fish, and foraged a few gold star items. 2 gamesplays in the row and I won first place in the first year.

Same here. 1st year is easy. I've always put my highest value item for each category (mineral, forage, fruit, vegetable, artisan good, fish, a no-category one, + 2 extra of any of the categories that are high value). As long as you have variety of categories, you should be fine.

The easiest way to win is by putting out 3 gold star pumpkins, 4 gold star Melons, a Autum's Bounty, and a silver star Fairy Rose. This is how i won my 1st year Fair. I got 97

Dammit, and I've always put the lucky purple trunks on full display!

I won the first year by just putting as many gold star things I had in , except my fish which I only had silver star, and made sure I had at least one of every category. And I think for a mineral I just used a jade.

Hey! To instantly get 750 stars, put Lewis' lucky shorts in the display. That's it.
Then bargain some money in the wheel, until you can buy all the items in the shop!

I've always had good luck with fairy rose honey and a few gold star items.

Look up

Shows the point system, it was made before iridium quality so just assume it's the same as gold quality

darn it~

I've been putting an iridium bar and a purple slime egg on there all these years..oh well~ let's see if I could score higher than 109 next year then..

I can usually win the first year. It's just a question of using what you have that has high value, and being as diverse as possible (up to 6, beyond 6 diversity doesn't get you additional points).

A Starfruit is good if you can get one (you can get at least one from Gunther). Mellons and Pumpkins are good, Mellon Jelly is good. A Fairy Rose is good. A Diamond is good.

You can look at the list and adjust based on what you have available:
