Is it possible to rebind keys?

I suffer from Fibromyalgia, so I don't know if I'd be able to maneuver/navigate very well. I've never been able to play games with the arrow keys. Would I be able to use WASD to walk? I've read that the fishing mini-game is difficult, and I'm not very coordinated. I'm much more comfortable using my mouse to play games. Thanks in advance for any replies. :-)

Well, I bought the game. I'm really enjoying it, but I can't catch any fish. The first time I fished, I caught a Sunfish, but that was when the tutorial popped up to explain how to play. I keep losing my fish because I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'll probably need that mod, although I'd rather learn to play the mini-game. :-)

My short guide to fishing in Stardew Valley:

• Always be clicking. Speed up the clicking tempo to make the bar rise, and slow down the tempo to fall, but don't not be clicking.
  
• Keep your bar as close to the center of the water as you can while still on the fish. When the fish is near the bottom of the water, keep the fish on the bottom of your bar - that way, when the fish goes up, it's going up your bar. When the fish is near the top of the water, keep the fish on the top of your bar - that way, when the fish goes down, it's going down your bar.
  
• Don't stop clicking if you want to go down very fast - you'll probably bounce against the bottom and shoot past the fish. Click slower to lower.
  
• Don't hold down the mouse if you want to rise very fast - you'll probably overshoot the fish and get jammed against the top. Instead, click very rapidly.

Oh, goodness, I don't think I'm coordinated enough to do that! I'm a bit discouraged, as clicking during the mini-game stresses my muscles. :-(

Hmmm...I'll keep trying, but if I can't do it, where is the mod? I was viewing the community hub when you posted. Thanks for trying to help me. :-)

Okay, thanks! I would have Googled it eventually, but I thought the mod would be here on Steam.

There is a pinned thread Modding Progress So Far that has a huge amount of information about modding the game. There is a link to the Easy Fishing Mod on that list too.

In my experience modding the game is easy - you just have to backup your files and copy new files in. Just be sure to read all of the instructions and be very careful to put the files in the right place.
