Should I sell ingots?
I have ingots which I am not really planning to use, should I sell them or keep them for future use?

There's almost no situation in which I won't be found to reccommend pointless hoarding.

Who knows, maybe later you'll find a good use for them, like selling them! Oh, but when that time comes around, you should consider not selling them because they might be useful for being sold even later.

Sell if you want, I did at some point when I had too much gold. You have infinite game time to mine more.

If you are anything like me, you will need them if you sell them. Personally I don't sell ingots, at least for the first year or two. After that you probably have everything you want/need so they are safe to sell (just don't sell ALL of them).

You'll need the ingots for that time when you'll need the ingots, so keep em.

Eat them. We all do it.

Who knows, maybe the content update in 1.1 will involve a /literal/ gold sink- a craftable furniture item that costs 500 gold ingots and all it does is give you a fancier place to wash dishes.

Just don't give gold ingots to Abigail, or she'll gain a lot of weight.
