Wild Bait
So... I just learnt to craft Wild Bait. But, does it worth it?
Does it have an effect other than bite-rate?

As it's a craftable, you needed to unlock it to get one of the games' achievements (D.I.Y.).

As a bait, I believe it's more efficient than regular fish bait. I'll pull up the wiki quick and check-

" Using wild bait with your fishing rod reduces the delay before a nibble by 62.5%. "

But I don't understand, isn't the DIY just 15 items? I already have the DIY achievement. I also have Artisan, bit it just won't give me any Steam achievement that involves crafting!

So it's just the biterate, right?

The only places I would use it are the pools in the mines...and sewer.

Do you also think it's only about biterate?

I think so too. And timewar is right, better use it in mines and sewers to get real fish instead of this annoying garbage more often :) Otherwise I consider it waste of good bug meat. But mb I'm wrong here.

Yes it does just affect the biterate, by cutting the amount of time it takes to get a fish on the line by over half.
