Glitch?
Ok I'm lv 4 for fishing on stardew valley and I'm only catching herring, anchovies, and sardines. I've caught an eel once but that was it. Is this a glitch or am I just getting unlucky with my catches? Thanks

Very unlucky. You can always check the wiki to see which fishes are in season / the weather conditions needs / etc. Also try fishing in different spots, if you fish only in the ocean then of course you're not going to get a variety of gifts, so be sure to fish in the streams and all. Best of luck finding more fish!

Wow ok. Well this is like my fifth character so I know about fishing in other areas and it's only day 18 in the first year. I had started another character, because this was happening with the last character, and because this was continuing I was afraid of a glitch. Glad to know I was just unlucky lol thanks for the info everyone

When you first start you can't throw the line far enough away from the land/pier to hook all the fish available.
