How to avoid getting hurt at the slime hutch

I hated visiting the slime hutch, untill I figured out how to avoid getting attacked by those little *ucks: Just place a fence inside the hutch and give them water by using a silver (or better) watering can! Works perfectly fine :)

Or just kill 1000 Slimes from that Adventurer's Guild and get the Slime Ring that won't let you get hit by Slimes or get the buff.

There's other reasons to buy the slime hutch, and this post is 2 years old.

"problem is," there is no problem with the OP's two-year-old suggestion.

The fence isn't a magical barrier that forever prevents you from entering. There's clearly a gate shown in the image. If you want to go in there and kill slimes and/or pickup loot, then go do it.

Or just put a vertical row of statues a space away from the water trough, and hook it around, then use an upgraded watering can to water through the barrier.

Slimes can't get through, and most eggs spawn around the empty space in the hutch, making it easy to get to them without risk.

I tried this layout and my slimes spawned on my walking zone 😭. Not the biggest problem, I just lured it back into the pen. Be aware if you’re going to do this layout of that flaw with the incubator

I would also consider placing the flooring all over the area where the slimes are instead of outside of it, so that way the slime balls that are generated each day will only spawn in the "safe zone" where the slimes can't attack you.

Also, I know this topic is very old, but as of the 1.5 update, you can now use sprinklers to water the slime troughs. No watering can necessary!
