Greenhouse
So, I'm just getting the hang of the greenhouse. I think.

Would I be correct in assuming that you can lay down four iridium sprinklers and that would hit every plantable corner of the place? I could be wrong; I'm horrid at math.

Ideally, Id like to fill this place up with continually producing crops and iridium sprinklers, primarily to maximize time management (if not profit)

Also, I've seen folks can plant fruit trees in there but that seems like a waste of space?

One final question:
Do bees work in there? It doesn't seem like they should, but hey. I'm in winter now so it's hard to tell, but I've got one inside and one out. The one inside I put down a day or two ahead of the one outside, so that might give me my answer, but perhaps not until spring.

You will still need sprinkles on the edges, outside of farmable land, to cover all the tiles, but yes, the centre only needs 4 iridium sprinkles.

Bees dont work in greenhouse, and for spriklers i have 4 iridium in the planted square and 8 mid level sprinklers on the edge (4 on each side)

Okay, so it's 10x10 that the four iridium will take care of, no?
...but the total plantable zone is 12x12, hence the sprinklers on the edges?
Am i getting that right?

You'll need a few Quality Sprinklers on the outside edge at least. The tillable area in the default greenhouse is a 10x12. Iridium sprinklers cover a 5x5 area, so you'd have a 10x2 stretch that require additional sprinklers.

I use the 15x15 greenhouse mod since it softens the blow to my OCD a bit. I can get by perfectly with 9 iridium sprinklers inside.

I can only assume that people put fruit trees inside because they grow fruit year round? I guess? Gotta be some benefit to putting them in the greenhouse.

I don't think bees work in the greenhouse, but I could be wrong. I just pack up the hives for winter and set them back out on Spring 1.

Trust me, I know what you mean.

Ah, it's 10x12 so...

♥♥♥♥ it, I'll just handle 10x10 with the four and then plant melons and starfruit and manully water those areas. I don't wanna mod it up just yet.

Thanks for the help, but if anybody else has any further input on how they work the area, feel free to chime in.

You can get by with six iridium spriklers by placing the final two on the non-soil tiles of the greenhouse. It may not be the most elegant, symmetrical solution, but it means that you never have to water the plants in there, while only losing four tiles of soil.
