Sebastian's Hearts Dropping?
(Sorry if this has been asked before, I could only find one other topic related to this and didn't find any helpful answers there).
So I'm married to Sebastian and he got to 13 hearts the past in-game week or two. We've been going fine -- I gift him several times a week and he never expresses any negative feelings, except for the one bit of jealously dialogue I got when I gave Alex a gift.
One morning, after seeing him with maxed hearts the night before, he dropped to 10 hearts. Is it for me to earn back every month (?) or something? I'm sort of confused as to why this happened.
Thanks for any help ~

Hiya Jackjacklemanic. Seven days in a week equals seven gifts & seven kissy kissy faces as soon as your in-game charater falls outta bed. My puppet gifts Sebastian, Obsidian on Sunday, Coffee on Monday, Pumpkin Soup on Tuesday, Frozen Tear on Wednesday, Pizza on Thursday, Void Egg on Friday, and they round off the week, on Saturday, with Sashimi. I made these choices from Sebastian's Loves and Likes list. With two Crystalariums and a patch of pumpkins yearly, you are good to go... Plus, you can switch the stones in the Crystalariums out from time to time with higher value stones for a little extra gold or for gifts.

Also, make sure to do the last house expansion as soon as possible. It has been my experience, Sebastian likes to have children right after marriage. Sebastian is a child of chaos and sends all kinds of mixed messages, imho.

Edit: spelling error ~ugh~

Thanks for the gift suggestions (and sorry for the late reply). I tend to gift him sashimi but I'll make an effort to give a variety of gifts now. Also, thanks for the house suggestion. I was wondering what to invest my money from the summer harvest in -- tools, furniture, or my farm buildings, but I guess I'll work on gathering the materials to upgrade my house.
I'm so excited to have a kid :3

I've never experienced hearts dropping randomly over night and haven't heard anything about giving a variety of things increasing hearts more. I'm married to abigail and she's happy getting lots of amethyst all the time. There have been a couple of times that her hearts have gone down though. Here are the reasons that I know of for your spouse's hearts going down: Not talking to them/giving them gifts, giving other people gifts, giving other marriage candidates bouquets or triggering a 10 heart cutscene with another marriage candidate. (remember that ALL the marriage candidates count, not just the guy ones) I'm not sure if this affects their hearts, but perhaps check to make sure there's nothing blocking their normal route around your house (they'll tell you that the house is messy or cluttered or something). Also, not having kids shouldn't affect his mood... the other person giving you advice seems to not have looked at a wiki or anything. You can have a child whenever (or never) you want.

Thank you for clarifying. Maybe it was because I gave a gift to Alex. Pretty weird that his hearts would drop so much from a simple gift, but at least it's easy to regain them.
Thanks for all of the information :3

Wow this forums are getting so bad that people actually have to apologize for asking questions? Geez the elitists have really ruined these forums.

I think it might be a bug. I had that happen to me and I would keep giving gifts and getting it up to 13 hearts and in a few days it was back to 10.

It is a bug. It can also happen if you use a modded exe

Same thing happened to me, but with Penny.

As others have said, fairly certain it is a bug. I talked to my partner every day, gave her a loved item without fail every day, and have completely ignored all the single people, won't even give them help with quests they put up. Maxed out house, maxed out kids, we were living the dream.

And then BAM, random loss of two hearts. Don't let it bug you though, I have only had it happen to be once in a playthrough, and thankfully it isn't too bad to work back up.

I didn't realize that was a bug, whoops. At least I'm not doing anything wrong myself. Hopefully it will be fixed soon, and thanks to everyone who helped me! ^^
