Planting crops with Deluxe Speed-Gro or Quality Fertilizer

Based on the prices for selling gold/silver/regular crops it looks to me like you are always better off using speed-gro instead of fertilizer. You will always make more money selling a higher number of mixed crops than by selling several extra gold crops. I did my math (which may contain multiple errors) based on getting an average 50% regular, 30%silver, 20%gold without fertilizer and 10% regular, 30% silver, 60% gold with quality fertilizer. Compared to a 25% decrease in growth time with deluxe speed-gro there seems to be no contest. The percentages might not be perfect but I'm pretty sure they are close enough to work.

Some crops that have long growth times like rhubarb or real low sell prices like parsnip aren't worth using either one but otherwise speed-gro always wins.

You can check out my spreadsheet in open format if anyone is interested or do the math yourselves. If you see a mistake give me a heads up, I'm trying to plan my crops as efficiently as possible.

Derp, thank you for bringing that to my attention, guess I should have had that extra cup of coffee before posting. Sorry for pouring gas on a dieing flame. I'll pay better attention in the future.

I actually don't know how to post images on here, but I'm going to take a shot in the dark and assume it's a pain in the butt. But the file had no viruses. I glanced through it. Just a boring ol' spreadsheet. By all means, stay away if you're that worried. But I imagine you've been on this forum so long that you don't really need the info anyways. This is more for beginners or intermediate, I guess.
