Can't plant any seeds on Ginger Island

Hello! I am unable to plant any seeds on Ginger Island. I have tried mixed seeds, strawberry seeds, taro, pineapple, spring seeds, winter seeds...all of these bring up either a "you can only plant this on the farm" message or a "out of season" message. I am able to till soil, add fertilizer, and put down sprinklers, but can't plant any seeds!! Appears to be some kind of glitch. I have no mods installed and the game is up to date. I am on PC. Has anyone else encountered this problem and if so, were you able to fix it?

EDIT: Figured it out, thanks Sarmad. I can plant west on the farm.

Are you on the restored ginger island farm or are you trying to plant on random tillable tiles in some place?

You may need to unlock the farmhouse first. Not sure, I never tried planting before unlocking the farm.

You can only plant seeds on the west part of ginger osland, the place with the farm house
