But why use stone for stairs when you can put jade in a crystalarium and buy staircases from the desert trader.
Its obviously not advised for late-game, or if you actually need the fiber for something else. But its an interesting way to make normally useless early game items worth a fair bit of money that you could use to expand early on.
I only bought stone from her finally after I was filthy rich to finish my farm upgrades.
i went through a recent extreme drought of wood making a shed, upgrading it and making all the casks in preparation for winemaking haha - not sure ill ever need more now though! (did pam's house upgrade already)
if you're still going through that phase though, note that tree fertilizer is made from aforementioned fiber and stone to speed up growth loads!
personally i now hang onto all the fiber i can get because my 3-animal coop shreds through their grass for whatever reason. even have grass under iron fences to facilitate regrowth but just doesn't seem enough. so i need to pop in some grass from time to time made from stockpiled fiber
I personally did early on, its annoying to make that first 100k before you can start multiplying it like crazy.
