You can exit out to the main menu and reload your save to restart from the beginning of the day you were on. If you had those items at the end of the previous day, they will be restored when you load your save. :pon:

lol I know that but I didn't see them on the lost items list and I saved the game but luckily you can restore one type of item you lost if you go the fighters guild, I got really lucky.

why carry around the most rare item in the game i the first place? specialy in such masses? chests are there for a reason.

There is a mod that adds a saddle bag to your horse, and I will frequently put tools and items I want to have handy, but not carry down into the mines. It basically doubles your inventory space as you roam far from you farm. I will keep my fishing pool and tackle in it, taking them out when I get to the beach on my horse. When I finish watering crops, I will put my watering can in the saddle bag too.
Also you can put a chest by the mine door ,and put items in it until you finish mining .

Good thinking! Chests don't use a lot of resources at all and can store quite a good amount of items, plus you can have as many as you want so long as NPCs don't walk over them.

A good place I use to place a chest is... right next to the door leading inside the skull cavern. That way, you can quickly place any items you won't be needing (such as prismatic shards) so they won't disappear should a situation like this ever happen again. Then you can quickly claim your items once you take the ladder outside. :SonicManiaItemBox:

oh its really easy to die in the Skull cavern when you have a dozen or more monsters swarming after you at once.

Technically, no one. Your character just gets knocked out :> Happened to me a few times
in the skull cavern back in the day and is not very unusual at all actually.

I have over 3000 hours playing and I'm still learning tricks and secrets. You are still a beginner in my eyes.

You don't really know that. If someone with less than 1000 hours has learned the "tricks" and "secrets" you have learned in 3000 hours then who is the beginner? ;>

That's harsh. Loosing 15 prismatic shards is definitely not a good feeling...
