"Girlfriend/Boyfriend" tag after marriage
Hey!
I got a fairly simple question - I'd like to raise every villager, including the Bachelor/rettes to 10 hearts and while I know that there is no bad consequence to giving every villager a bouquet, I do know that gifting someone the bouquet, they get marked as "Girlfriend/Boyfriend" in the Social Tab.

It's a minor detail that nevertheless bugged me to no end during my last save, however I did not marry anyone and recently started a new save to test out the new farm layouts.

Basically what I want to ask is: If I marry (anyone) - are the other Bachelor/rettes still marked as "Boyfriend/Girlfriend" or are they listed as basically normal villagers, but with all the 10 hearts?

Thanks in advance!

They'll be listed as boyfriend/girlfriend if you give them the boquet, it won't go away.

EDIT:
Apparently the girllfriend/boyfriend tag changes to single after marriage.

Thanks for the quick answer! So the only way to erase any of those tags seem to be that Memory-Erasing thing for spouses.

That'll tag them as an ex instead, but it should be good enough.

Hmmm... I'm married to Harvey, and all the Bachelor/Bachelorettes say (single) even if they are at 8+ hearts & I've gifted them the boquet.

Put this in the Bug Reports section. If you've given the boquet, they'll always get the boyfriend/girlfriend tag.

Someone on reddit told me that it got fixed and that the bachelors/bachelorettes get tagged as single again when you marry a character. I'd honestly prefer that instead of having them tagged as an ex since I'm not really dating other characters except for Leah; but I was giving Penny a bouquet as well to get her to 10 hearts (for the achievements), not knowing that it would tag her as my girlfriend and that apparently 8 hearts count as 10 hearts for dateable characters.

Huh.

There is nothing on the wiki about it.
I'll check in my old save.

I'm not married to Leah, so I couldn't test it myself yet. I can only tell you what I was told on the SV subreddit. It could be wrong because there's always a possibility that people spread false informations

Edit: That's good then, for my game at least. LOL

So in other words we can just ignore that 8-heart boundary, get everyone to 10 - marry and be rid of that pesky romance tag?
Sounds good! Thanks for the testing guys.
