Purple Star large egg

what does the purple star mean and what do I do with the egg? save it or just sell it or something else?

Purple star is a new quality - Iriduim quality. it means the item is worth 2 times what it normally is. I don't think that it'll effect the quality mayo though... (I'm not entirely sure). I would say sell it.

Yes, the star doesn't determine the quality of the mayo/cheese. Got a gold star milk and it turned into regular cheese

I just did an experiment with different quality eggs, (up to iridium stars on both reg and lrg) and reg iridium eggs sell for about half reg mayo, and lrg iridium eggs sellfor about 2/3 gold star mayo.
So unless you're planning to give iridium quality egg as a gift, (I think Marnie likes animal products, but don't quote me on it) just make mayo out of every egg, ana/or keep reg, low quality egg for cooking, (they stack well in fridge)

You would think it would also add a Iridium quality Mayo as well, and possible give it the added bonuses such as More friendship for higher quality items.

Worth more to turn to mayo. I turn eggs into mayo, all quality as it is worth more, no star i use for cooking same with milk/cheese. I also get purple star truffles every truffle but still worth more to turn them into oil

Well truffles make a great B-day gift for Leah, and eggs are good for gifts for 10 of the residents. Given that quality now affects friendship(regardless of value), Iridium eggs would make wonderful gifts for those who are impoverished of your firendship.
