If you're low on space or want the RP aspects of the wild man, I'd definitely reccommend doing the seasonal seed farming as a supplement (or even a majority) of your crop. Letting your pigs freeroam could be likened to herding wild boars.
Alternatively, if you really want the roleplay aspect of a wild man with intimate knowledge of the lands around you, the Tracker perk would lead you to every forageable on the map, with the tradeoff of less guranteed profit per item.
If you make the seasonal foraged fruits into wine and/or jelly, you can make a lot of profit. And with blackberries, salmonberries and so on, you'll have an over-abundance of fruit in spring and summer; so it makes sense you'd preserve some for later.
If you make crystal fruit into wine or jelly, you'll have more than enough money to buy anything you're saving up for.
So a farm full of fruit trees.... Ohhhh boy imagine the daily profit on that.
On a sidenote it was either this or a Canada farm where it would have been trees, maple trees, wheat, trees, couple things here and there and oh right, trees. But then I noticed there was no plaid shirt so my lumberjack dreams sorta died out. Lol
This be you soon my son...
