I refuse to have rabbits on my farm
I just found out today that you can have rabbits giving you wool, and when they like you enough, a rabbit's foot. I am sorry, but I find that really disturbing. It's implying that they love you so much, they will multilate their foot in order to please you. The heck? Seriously? Even more disturbing is that, according to Wiki, ALL the villagers, save ONE, love getting a rabbit's foot as a gift. They ALL are into multilation and whatever!

Yeah, no rabbits for me! I had pet rabbits several years ago, but I won't have any in this game.

Concerned for rabbits everywhere.

I'm more bothered by the fact that my dog sleeps outside on the cold or heat! Riot for dog/kitty houses.

This is so true! Why can't the pets sleep in the house!

It's trendy to be outraged about something.

My pet sleeps in the house sometimes.

Dunno how my post makes me sound like a SJW (I am not) but whatever.

Geez, guys. I'm just giving myself a reason not to have rabbits since I am using the Riverland map (even though there's no actual river on the map) and have limited space, so some buildings have to go. I don't need the slime hutch whatever and I don't need rabbits since other animals give me wool and I don't want rabbits feet. I just need 1 barn, 1 coop, a mill, some sheds, and a golden clock on my farm. I think I fit all that on an island map.

cool, riverland map is a good challenge for placement, good luck :)

Thanks. You're one of the few people in here that gave me a nice reply :) Did you choose Riverland too? I wish it had a better name though, like Island Map :P I'm gonna line the bottom left island with crab pots :D

I doubt I can have every single animal on the farm. I may just stick to the standard cows/sheep/chickens/ducks, and since I am not going to get every single animal, I probably will go the Joja route to make it easy. Too bad the golden clock costs soooooooooo much though. I want to use wood fencing so I need it.

Coffee has become a very profitable crop for spring and summer, it seems. Maybe fill your glass house full with that or ancient fruits, i dont know which one is better, havent done the math.

Well I started with the mountain one for the looks, I think it is possible to fit all the animals into the river farm though. I did a bit of experimenting on the farm planner yesterday.

Hmm I'll have to look into that, but I fear that If I add all the animals, there wouldn't be much space left (not counting the greenhouse) for growing crops. At least now I'm able to reposition the buildings though if I mess up.

Bleh I hate coffee, but if it makes me lots of money...

Ha, see this is the type of answer I've been looking for; something funny and witty.

What you said reminds me of Prometheus. He was doomed to be chained to a rock forever and having his liver eaten by an eagle every day, 'cause he was immortal and his liver regenerated every night.

Do you even need fencing in river farm ? Well aside from blocking off the bridges. I doubt the animals jump into the water, though that would be funny lol.

I restarted today on Rvierland farm since It was the one I really wanted to play most (started on hilltop yesterday), and I'm pretty sure you can place all animal houses just fine (maybe not if fences needed). I would think you could probably fit the Slime building on the far left against the raised area. And I would think you could get both the the barn/coop in the middle island and still have room for grass if you don't have to use fences. If anything maybe move coop to the dock island. I think the oly problem would be wanting to raise pigs, as I think they can only pull truffles from dirt areas (?) and you would need every space available for grass on that island. Unless maybe you alternate the barn coop outside days and maybe one or two no outside days a week to let grass regrow a bit, might work.

I thought the rabbits foot thing was weird aswell. So do its foot just fall off, like a salamander losing its tail, or does it gnaw it off in the dark of night? Its another Stardew Mystery.
The Space Ferret Oct 4, 2016 @ 1:50pm
Probably not on the islands, but I'd like to have fencing in the area in front of my house (the mainland I guess). I just like the look of fences :3

You guys sure are more creative with this map than I am.
