I went once. Nobody would dance with me because I was the new kid. Didn't leave my bed for a week afterwards. Considered suicide.

Fought through it. Became a millionaire. Made a guest appearance the following year to buy some strawberry seeds and slap Shane's ass. I left.

I'm skipping the first one on my new play because i cba to waste all that money just to get a dance in year one. I'd rather do something usefull.

Flower dance is a great way to force yourself to be sociable for a day (and thanks to 1.1 the romancable characters get friendly dialogue). In the first year, losing 2/3rd of a day of productivity might be enough to make you skip it, but in year two and three it's worth it to boost your hearts with your dance partner.
