Any love for the 1.0 original farm?
The new maps are cool, personally I like the mining farm for its looks and the forest for its quirks but I'm also starting to like the original farm even more too!

Not many people talk about this map and how they are fitting all the new buildings and items in to established games, or whether or not you have upgraded your big barn storage to be colour coded with chests to feed that pseudo OCD feeling.

So, is there any one else that has more love now for the first farm and how are you finding it with the new stuff mixed in with the old?

I think there is a common consensus that the Standard Farm is the best farm, both for making money but also for creative design. The others are just variation, which is nice after you spent sooo many hours in the game.

Sor far i like the Standard Farm but im going to try out each other farm (for Riverlands im a farmer fisher) after playing around with them im gong to keep comming back to the Standard Farm. :tabbycat:

Eh, it has too much space for me imo. I prefer the Riverlands one much more.

I mean, it doesn't really have anything going for it except for having the largest amount of space and the simplest layout. I'm personally enjoying the more restrictive elements of the smaller maps, but if you really want to min-max production or use all the empty space then it's the obvious best choice.

I've always showed love to the average maps in situations like this. I'll probably check out a new map later on but for now, I'm finishing the game with the default map.

I've experimented with the new maps, and I went back to the standard. As pretty and different the new ones are, I really missed my creative space that really felt like a farm. It got frustrating trying to figure out where to place buildings and crops in such limited spaces.

The new maps are definitely great and a great idea. It just boils down to preference.

it is nice to have different options for different farms and stuff.

Pretty much this, I think. Which is fantastic, in my opinion. It adds more options and potential longetivity to an already great game, but if you like the original map then hey, it's still there.

the original in my mind is the best cause you can still have monsters on it.

First one was too big for me, honestly nice but holy cow I never had that much stuff, I made more money from mining and just a couple small feilds, the idea of using all that land is just mind boggling...

While it does have the most space for farming, it is also the most boring map. That's what bothers me in HM games. The farmland is always totally flat with no interesting features. That's why I turned the farmland in The Lost Valley into a network of waterfalls, rivers, ponds and swamps.

All the new maps look cooler than the standard map in SV, 'cause they have cliffs and rivers and ponds and isn't totally, boring, flatness.
