Removing grass in a Forest Farm?
I chose the forest farm and noticed something. There is dense but short grass that I can't seem to remove, and I can't use that land for farming. Is there any way to remove it?

You do know that when you MADE the forest farm, there was a label telling you that you'd get less farming space right? Please tell me that you actually read the label... Seriously...

I did, I just didn't realize how much they'd take away.

In its place you get foraging stuff and hardwood stumps, plus free mixed seeds (that last one doesnt seem much like a reward though to me.).

Why do you have to be so harsh? They were asking a simple question. No need to jump all over them. This is what forums are for, to ask questions and get help. Sheesh!

Depends what you do with it. http://stardewvalleywiki.com/File:Forest_Farm.png ← I noticed on that picture that yes, the space is limited so yes if you do a lot of farming and you want lot of buildings, you'll have to be very prepared on the way you want things.

You get tons of stumps and some forage stuff at the cost of space. If you wish to focus more on farming then other maps provide more space. The thing with the new layout is that farming is no longer the 100% focus. It's also why the standard map is the "farming focused map".

The forest map assumes you'll do more "foraging" than "farming" so that was expected. Only my take on the way maps anyway. Other skill maps also prioritize more on relevant skill than farm.

Harsh how? I didn't insult him or anything. Many people just do skip labels so when they face what they chose, they're like "wtf, it isn't what I wanted at all". So yeah, I wondered if he knew what he was going into. Apparently he did except he just didn't expect the farming space so small.

I really like that I get mixed seeds. I love planting mixed seeds alongside my usual crops. Its a little bit randomness to my farm. Plus, I don't really care that there is less room, I mean I never grow a farm to ginormous sizes anyway and the scenic new layout is beautiful!

I'm 90% sure you can plant fruit trees on the grass, so its not a complete waste.

Thanks for confirming it. I wasn't sure, and I picked Forest. I think a bunch of fruit trees in a forest will be a great ambience!

That shows all the types, so you can take a look, before you leap, so to speak.
