1.1 Foraging Map Question
I wonder how building plays out on the forest map. Can you construct buildings anywhere, even on the green grass spots? Are there bushes or sth alike which prevents construction?

Thank you in advance :2016popsicle:

I think you can place them wherever you want, but not where the hardwoow spawns i think.

Looks like there are some bushes. And i dont think you can build there

Yeah, those bushes are probably hindering you ~

But as long as you can build on the rest of the grass - this seems fine to me.

Thanks you two! :steamhappy:

I'm not sure whether I would put a bat cave on that map to make it more atmospheric and foragy, or just get the mushroom cave to make it even more versatile.

You cannot build on the grass areas on any of the maps.

On my last playthrough I was honestly really underwhelmed with the fruit bats (especially since I opted to buy fruit trees pretty early... because I like trees!). So I will defintely opt for the 'shroms.

Oh really? Now that's a bummer...... then I will probably go with the mountain area :/

Hrm... this choice is sure difficult, especially when planning an animal-farm.

Seen on forest vs mountain I'm not sure if either of them have more building space.
(what you have as green areas in forest, you have blocked by mountains or the river in the other map)

Guess maybe a lil challange to play the maps where they're focused on might become quiet interessting, too. So many ideas, so much to test after the update! :D

what about planting trees?

That's what's kind of off-putting for me. Though the new maps are lovely, I'm struggling to figure out ways to place my barns and other buildings in the forest layout. If it doesn't work out for me in the end, I'll be happy sticking with the standard layout. :]

Now my choice is learning more towards mountains, if its for looks and grass isnt ploppable then why not go "all the way".

Now this is the million dollar/pound/whatever question.

A- Yes! You can, just tested. Yehaw!

You can get rid of bushes with a steel axe, and place structures on the grass :steamhappy: there just isn't alot of farming space, but in my opinion, its the best! You can easily get a horse because of the plentiful amounts of hardwood you get from the stumps on the far left side. And you get a lot of foraged items!
