Coffee
has anyone who has the beta made coffee yet? I was wondering approxamitley how many ingame days it take to process the beans into coffee (and the info doesn't seem to be online anywhere yet). I'm too far away from spring to be able to try it out myself!

I expected it to take longer, but I think it was overnight at the most. I remember I was surprised at how fast it was.

I put some beans in around 8am and came back in the shed at 11am and it was done. :stardrop:

Edit: Got some more beans and rechecked by waiting this time. It takes exactly two hours to brew.

There is no indication of how long that the Coffee beans take to grow, and I don't know where to buy them. (Other than the Traveling Merchant, got it first try there & it was spring.)

I know that's not what you were asking, but this needs some indication.

You can get coffee beans in the mines - they occasionally drop from dust sprites. I'm currently in winter, but have been growing them in the greenhouse. I think they took about a week to grow, (didn't really count) but seem to keep producing . Each plant gives 4 coffee beans at a time, which also act as seeds, so once you have one, you're all set!)

The wiki has info on where to get the seeds and how long they take to grow/reproduce the seeds. So you can check there for that info. There isn't anything certain about how long it takes to actually produce the coffee on the wiki though. I'll just go with a day in my calculations right now (It looks like coffee might be one of the best things to produce interms of g/day from planting to getting the coffee from the keg!)

Oh, I didn't know you could get them in the mines!

Also I checked the official wiki earlier and didn't see anything on them.

They're added now! The page about them is here: http://stardewvalleywiki.com/Coffee_Bean

I found one Coffee bean mid Spring. Fortunately I had Sprinklers at the time. By planting and re-planting and replanting again through spring and summer, I had over 4000 beans in storage by the end of Summer - and that's without a pure coffee bean focus. When winter rolled around I used them in my kegs. If you focus purely on beans you can easily make your entire farm into a coffee plantation.

The convenience of Coffee Beans is that they instantly sync if you plant them the day you harvest them. 2 days (respawn time) is a multiple of 10 days (growth time). Also, 10 days is an excellent speed for reproducing plants.

The big difficulty with coffee beans is that if you have a lot of them, and since they don't end in winter, you have a LOT of work to do on the 28th of summer and 1st of Fall if you want to keep your fields rolling.

They are a great crop, but they are a LOT of work, especially your first time.
