Staying Up Past 2AM

As you probably know, at 2AM if you're still awake you abruptly pass out and there's no way to stop it. Or so it seems. But using this trick I was able to stay up far past 2AM and I was very confused by the results. Take a look:

• There is time past 2AM, in fact very far past. You never get forced to fall asleep though the game tries every ten minutes (six seconds IRL). There appears to be infinite time to me.
  
• The game does not change the night lighting back to day even at 6AM, so even at 10AM it's still dark and stays that way.
  
• There is no PM - when 11:50AM changes to 12, it loops to 12AM again. However when this happens your character still tries to pass out every ten minutes, including 12AM to 1:50AM.
  
• The second time 2AM passes around nothing happens, just the usual tries-to-pass-out-but-doesn't for eternity.
  
• When I let myself pass out and woke up the next day I had only 101 energy out of around 460. I'm pretty sure you're supposed to wake up with half energy if you pass out due to time.
  
• I sold an Amethyst in the sell box by the house that night as well, but when the window popped up the background was off-centered and there was a solid teal-ish background behind the normal one.
  
• The night I passed out was the last day of Spring, so the next morning all my crops were dried up. The green bean wilts still had their hitboxes, though, acting as an invisible wall.
  
• I saw two crows fly by - one just as 2AM passed for the first time and one just as 4AM passed for the first time. Neither took any crops.

Have you guys done this glitch and experienced any odd results?
