Fastest way to reach 1000 slime kill?

This is too much grinding. I understand such games like this aren't made so you can achieve everything in one day, but still, ain' nobody got time for that.

Thats actually what im doing, i just got the slime hutch for the first time yesterday, and im eager to start breeding those slimes, but without the slime charm ring, everytime i go in there to fill the water, i take a beating.

Ya just going to have to deal with it, but honestly if your at the point you have slime hutch, they probably arn't hurting you that badly.

Hm, yeah, true, care to explain how exactly should i go about it?

Go in, kill a few, leave some alive so they can breed, and repeat?

Nevertheless, i still want the 1000 kill so i can get the ring.

Pretty much. You can also use fences to keep them pushed back so they can't smack you around.

Look for an infested area in the cave. Once you find one, kill the slimes, leave the cave, go back inside, and go to the exact same level/area.

This. Worked for me. Found a floor with like 15 dust sprites and 8 slimes I think. I still haven't finished the dust sprite or slime one on my current playthrough...

Raise slimes outside, there's no cap so you can get a lot more.

How do i do that? Place the incubator outside?

Will they also breed then? Considering that outside provides unlimited water.

ok, i found my favorite way to get the 1000 slime kill fast, the method is listed in the wiki for dust spirit

i never noticed that most floors that end with "5" have mobs, so i just traveled from floor to floor, didnt break a single stone, and got all sort of monsters, depending on which floors you go, got my 1000 slime kills now :) fastest way in my opinion.
