[nope okay not solved ugh] Furnace?
It's the end of Spring in my first year. Usually during the first 10 days or so you'd get the blueprint from Clint.

I have since went into the mines, leveled up my mining level to 3, and yet I still haven't gotten the blueprint. Is there.. any other requirements? That I gotta meet? It's happening to the pet too, but I assume that's random, so I'm not too worried about that.

EDIT: I have gotten ore from the mines. 200 and counting, even. Just in case y'all need this info.

---

EDIT: Well, a solution?:

Okay, so I did a bit of checking on the official forums and apparently this, together with a few other events that could happen, happen because of a bug/glitch. To resolve this (manually, apparently the fix will be coming in an upcoming patch) go to AppData, look for your save files, and edit the values. There's a thread on it here; http://community.playstarbound.com/threads/save-file-editing-guide-for-solving-some-common-issues.110762/#post-2841842

---

If you went to your save file and checked for the values and didn't see any.. High five me pal. I am still stuck.

Hi! I did a little search for you and there's only so much information about it. The straight answer is that you need to collect enough (a lot?) ores then you'll get it the next day? That's all we know.

Maybe you need to do a quest first, like building a coop or meeting everyone?

Thanks for the responses! Alas, I have around 260 copper ore at the moment, which.. really should be enough for the Furnace, I think. And while I have completed meeting everyone as a quest, I usually postpone the building a coop quest until I have the copper bars to build a silo.

.. Which I can't do, because I don't have a furnace to smelt copper bars.. Am I stuck in a catch 22 here?

Honestly, I don't think the event can be skipped. I don't remember having to collect hundreds of ores for my furnace blueprint. You seem to have done a lot of work and I am sure I didn't build anything at all to get my furnace. He should just come at morning when you mine enough ores.

Hmm... never happened to me. In my 2nd play through, the day I unlocked the mines, I went there and made it to about level 5, and then the next day I got the furnace blueprint. Try some of these:

1. Are you sleeping? It may not trigger if you don't sleep/use stay up all night glitch
2. What level are you on in the mines? I think you have to get to level 5.
3. Have you ever talked to Clint/gifted him? I don't know if that will help though.

If none of them worked, I have absouletely no idea what is wrong, I think on reddit their is someone who is good at programming and could help you with this. I forgot what his name is, but his avatar is a silly picture of him in a black convertible.

If I remember right, the save file is gigantic and contains like everything you've done in the game. Every items, every upgrades, every events, everything. I edited mine for classes before but we always need to be careful about what we're doing with our save. For the scene, it doesn't mean it will be in it or even obvious. It might as well be a number you need to edit to another number.

You could try and find a save editor of some kind and edit the furnace craft into your save...? I don't think you can edit the event in. It could be possible but I have no idea how we can do this.
