How is the best way to get Dinosaur Egg?

I got my Dinosaur Egg via fishing in the Ocean. To better your odds, you'll want to be at LVL10 Fishing with the Pirate perk to increase treasure odds, and use Magnets and Treasure Bobbers with the Iridium Rod to further increase your chances of treasure appearing. And while luck will not influence the outright rarity of the item in the chests, it will influence the frequency at which chests appear. So try and do it on a lucky day. Luck food also will help.

Fishing is how I got mine, but they apparently spawn in the mines in the hoe-able dirt.

Got mine in the mountain of a worm spot

There are three ways:
- Mountain worm spot (need lots of luck)
- Digging in the mines' soft spots (Low chance, but you can grind it on floors with lots of sand)
- Fishing chests (Also low chance, but at least you can keep trying all day every day).

I think so. Only the dwarf scrolls are limited per levels. Besides that, all levels drop the same stuff AFAIK. The drop chance for the dino egg is still pretty low, though. I personally got it from fishing chests, but that drop chance is just as low. XD I have no idea what is best.

Once you manage to find a Dino Egg don't go rushing off to the museum. Instead, stick it in the incubator in your chicken coop; a few days later you will have your very own lizard that lays an egg once a week.

which skill would you have to choose to get the pirate perk? i chose the 25% more for fish

I wish dino eggs showed up in chests as much as Treasure Chests do

As someone trying to finish the artifact set the dinosaur egg is a lot easier to get than most. I have 7 from fishing (don't think location matters but this was outside Leah's house). 2 from digging in the mountain area (quarry included). 1 from the mines.

Sadly of the 5 artifacts I still need... 4 of them can not be fished :((

Just a friendly tip for those looking to get their own Dinosaur in that it is typically a good idea NOT to place your Mayo Makers anywhere near your Incubator. The hit detection for the game can be a bit spotty sometimes and, well... you may end up like me, the guy who turned his first Dino Egg into Mayo on accident.

I replayed that one day two more times to get a new egg. Whoops.

7 from fishing? Wow. I still haven't gotten 1 from fishing yet.
