Treasure chest in a treasure chest
I'm in year 13 and for the 1st time ever I got a treasure chest in a treasure chest when fishing. The Wiki says it's worth 5000g (a gold star one is worth 7500g). I didn't even know these existed and never seen them mentioned in the forum. Have many others got them and have I just been unlucky not to get one before or are they really that rare?

I got one once on year two I think. Mind you I was fishing every day.

Woah! I didn't know that exsited either! That's cool. It must be super rare, as I've never found it either.

I recently got one of them as well, I am currently in Winter 4th year. Have also been fishing a lot(mainly to complete my museum collection). I'd guess they are one of the rarest catches.

Year 13??

I'm curious as to how many hours you played for...

At least use it in a good situation instead of looking stupid.

lol says the person who uses that as a response to literally every question ever asked here in the stardew valley community. Someone asks how to do something and you say check the wiki, i told you to check the wiki because you asked how to get the treasure chest.

1) Caught over 1000 fish and 300 treasure chests. (Chicken statue took me... some time.... to find). Never found a treasure chest in a treasure chest or even know they exist.
2) Read this thread. "oh, I wonder if I'll ever get one".
3) Third fish I catch, has a treasure chest in a treasure chest. XD

I say it to every question answered by the wiki.

No, I didn't. If you had actually read my post instead of trying to be "haha le epic sarcasm haah ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ owned xDD" you'd know this.

I love how you are taking this seriously then trying to say that my entire post WASN'T a joke towards you and how you are rarely helpful because you never answer people's questions.

Also, ">I'm in year 13
how" sounds like a question if you really REALLY want to get down and say that i was being serious towards you having a question (I understand you did not actually ask how, I know you were saying that you dont know how you havn't gotten it, BUT im making fun of you because any time someone asks a question you tell them to check the wiki instead of helping them, which you don't seem to understand.)

If you dont know sarcasm, you wont go far in this life. Try watching TheRPGMinx. She is a very sarcastic person and it might help you in the long run.

and now it has come to this.... someone who has realized they have lost and in a weak attempt at continuing this conversation says things that are actually 100% true. I was being sarcastic, whether you want to admit that or not is up to you. As for me i have now unsubscribed to this discussion. Good day.

If you were sarcastic, and were only joking, you wouldn't need to unsub.
To be fair, anyone unsubs from a forum as soon as you start arguing about something small. Be it with sarcasm or serious. People just know when to drop the conversation and rather not deal with it. I think some have already have enough headaches because of that.

I would guess they use some sort of time skip thing. I know some people who start the game and sleep until Fall, for whatever reason. Maybe there's some other thing gained by sleeping? O_o Or they're sleeping, checking if it's a good luck day, then going back to sleep if it's bad luck, to help find artifacts?

I'm in year 12 and found one of these at the end of year 11. It was a nice surprise.

+1. I love how Pyro thinks she is right about everything but she is as many said: Useless and just around for attention. (or to pick a fight with others). You'd think she'd spend her time doing something better of her life like actually being nice and helpful. (So much more rewarding.)
