Dorado was the last fish I needed

I see some folks having trouble with the Dorado, as did I. This is where I finally caught it... fishing directly up toward Leah's house. Just in case it helps anyonme.

Thanks, Taskmaster. The only dorado I've seen was bought from the traveling cart. Like you, I've noticed that I seem to catch different fish in different spots. I was fishing for rainbow trout in front of Haley's. I couldn't catch anthing but bream until I moved between the two bushes to the left of Jodi's house. Immediately after the move, I started catching rainbows and no bream at all.

That's just lucky, I guess. Each "map" part has the same fishes everywhere, except for the legendary ones. Out of 100 baits I used in the river, only 2 of them were dorado catches, though. I think they have a low chance overall.

The Dorado does have a limited timeframe, as well, for I think they only show up during extra sunny summer days (like the rainbow trout). They're also quite good at struggling if you have a low fishing level (But seeing as how it's your last fish, you probably already have the legends, which means you probably have fishing lvl 10).

You can check the wiki for specific times and places needed to catch all of the fish. It also states on the wiki that, except for certain legendary fish, each "map" or area has the same fish. So fishing in the little lake thing in the forest still counts as fishing in the forest river. The only difference that moving to a different spot may cause is the star rating to change (since it's linked to how far away from walkable land your line lands)

Like I said in was "in case it helps", so if it doesn;t no biggie. I was just glad to finally get the last fish I needed. Now I just need that lousy elvish jewelry to complete the musuem.

There's a steam guide for where you can get all the fish, I've followed it and it's been extremely accurate. Only fish I have missing are 2 legendaries which are in the wrong season for me atm.

Specific spot on whichever body of water doesn't affect anything at all (except for legendaries) provided you've got the right body water for the fish you want.
