That is a small hint that her natural hair color most likely changed with time (which is very possible, by the way) and she is now growing purple hair. Depending on the pigment/shade and the amount of each color, mixing green (Carolines hair color) and purple (The Wizards hair color) can also result in a brown shade which is basically what Abigail started out with. You know, this whole idea of Abigail being the Wizards daughter is actually based on stuff that holds up really well. Edit: Typo!
Hair color does tend to get darker with age. Going from "light chestnut" to "purple" seems a bit odd to me, but this is apparently a world where colors like purple and green can be seen as natural shades, so I suppose it's fine.
Caroline herself says "When we first moved here, I took a while to settle down... I wasn't ready for the domestic life."
And also: "Abigail was born about a year after we moved to Pelican Town."
So Caroline got pregnant shortly after moving in to Stardew Valley.
It is then the we learn that Caroline and Pierre had split up for a while, and that's when she dated Magnus. Then Caroline and Pierre got back together.
Pierre is not a bad guy. Caroline kept her relationship with Magnus SECRET from him for years. He still considers Abigail as his daughter and later forgives Caroline for keeping the secret.
He's not perfect , but he's not all bad either, so why pick on him.
It is NEVER said that Magnus is Abigail's father, and Abigail talks about dying her hair , so it may not have always been blue/purple.
So why pick on Pierre???
Why not Jas?
Difference being we know who Abigail's father supposedly is, and neither of them have purple hair. Meanwhile the wizard does and it's established that he may have a child living in Stardew Valley
Are you sure that isn't all from a mod? I've never seen such a cutscene, and this is the first reference that I've seen to it. Seems like the sort of thing that would have been mentioned elsewhere.
1) She might have genetics for purple hair color - and it doesn't prove the Wizard is her father. There could be other relatives far back in the family tree that had purple hair color.
2) The dye she used was imbued with magic and since magic is part of world in game that makes it kinda logical.
What you are talking about here is a specific event from the Stardew Valley Expanded mod and you are also wrong. Caroline openly admits in that event that Abigail is the Wizards daughter, and not Pierres. And there is every reason to pick on Pierre since he was the one who started cheating on Caroline, which in turn made her cheat back with the Wizard which resulted in Abigail. But like I said, this is modded stuff, and not part of the vanilla game. You might want to do your homework a bit better
Why not Jas as the Wizard's child...
Besides, dialogue in the game points toward something odd happening with Abigail. Same can't be said for the other three.
Hmm, you think? I dunno, personally, I've only ever seen hair go from lighter shades to darker ones. Like for example my mother had white-blonde hair when she was a small child, but by the time she was in her teens, it was a chestnut color, and by the time I had been born and was old enough to pay attention to things like my parent's hair colors, it was so dark a brown as to be almost black.
Hair goes grey eventually, and may appear lighter because of that, but that's not quite the same kind of thing.
It calls to mind the Robert Frost poem:
Oh sure. I don't think there's any definitive proof here, but there is a fair amount of circumstantial evidence presented. And it's game, it's meant to entertain. And a scandalous story of a child born out of wedlock is exactly the kind of story I'd expect CA to include (as we've discussed before).
Sure, could be. But you have to admit, that's not quite as exciting as the Wizard secretly being her father because he had an illicit affair with her mother ;)
We have people with pure Black hair such as Morris
Trying to deny Jas' hair isn't Purple as well. That's beyond absurd.
Actually, Let's take a moment...
Purple is defined as basically any mixture of Blue and Red, so even a 99.9% Red 0.1% Blue color could be called Purple. Obviously, that's absurd as well...
So, there are 2 more relevant colors.
Magenta that is equal parts Blue and Red, which Shane's hair actually is.
Violet that is generally about 2 parts Blue and 1 part Red, which Wizard, Abigail, AND Jas is
