Playing one handed.
So I've tried playing this game coop with my gf who lost the use or her right arm when she was a kid. I figured I could change around the keybinds to make the experience as comfortable as possible. Which worked, for the most part, until I ran into an issue. Whenever she tries to plant seeds the game forces her to use the mouse. The button on the keyboard does nothing. Works for every item expect for planting seeds. Any ideas?

Honestly the best option for her if she uses the computer a lot is to get a "foot mouse".

There are some USB foot pedal devices. Nominally they're intended for racing games, but they could easily be put to use for people with accessibility issues.

A high end gaming mouse like a Naga-Razor might help too, those have a lot of buttons right on the mouse (that nominally sit under your thumb). Personally, I find the Naga-Razor a little finicky, but lots of folks like it.

There are also some 5 button mice (the Razor Deathadder would be one example, but there are lots of others; most gaming mice have at least 5 buttons). One of those might be helpful and less finicky than the Naga.

OP, try out the "mouse move mode" from Nexus.

The USB foot pedals are also a worthwhile investment. Same goes for a mouse that has tons of buttons. An old buddy of mine who had an accident that rendered his left arm nearly uselsess (he can't feel any sensations anymore and that arm is very weak) used a multibutton mouse to play Diablo 3.

Kudos to your friend. Diablo 3 is indeed fun.

Yes this mod saved me. I got the game then discovered I couldn't play due to WASD movement and my issues. I actually cried but then I thought about mods since I've modded minecraft before and found this.

The auto gate mod can be helpful with this because I found the click to move made the gates a bit hard to use.

And yes mutlibotton programmable gaming mouse is great to have as well.

Yes, autogate is must have QoL mod even for people who have full function of their two hands. OP maybe look in the mod automate while you are at it. The less unecessary clicking she has to do the better.

As for combat:

If she wants to do the fighting and isn't struggling with it then go for combat controls redux:

If it's too annoying then try out auto-attack mod

I cannot guarantee how they work in multiplayer or if they are compatible with the mouse move mod.

These are some quality answers. Detailed, considerate and not condescending.

Have my points.

Might be worth considering that this was the only limitation discovered so far and when playing co-op it's a fairly minor issue to have someone else plant your seeds. Doesn't even use stamina.

if she is comfortable using the tractor mod, she can use the tractor to plant seeds automatically as you drive over the plowed ground. I use it frequently for planting larger plots of the same seed.
IF you set the tractor range for 3, it will plow, plant and water a 7x7 area. What I do is plow a 7x7 area, then stop and put down sprinkler with pressure gauge on it, then get back on tractor and plant the 7x7 area around the sprinkler.
with out the pressure gauge, set tractor for range of 2, to get a 5x5 area.
No mouse needed.
If you dont want to plant all the same seed, then just put a number of different seeds all in the tractor. Since I use the 7x7 area, I will put 7 of each of 7 kinds of seeds in tractor, (minus one for the sprinkler space) The tractor will keep planting as you select seeds as long as there is plowed land ready.
have fun.

As a disabled gamer myself, get the xbox accessibility controller.

It's big and programmable, I've seen people play games that would otherwise be impossible.
