But with regards to the OPs complaint Society makes a lot of compromises in order to exist. Lots of those compromises aren't pretty and life is not even remotely fair. You can always mod the game yourself, if you want this badly enough.
Modding Society...Well I aint going to try to dissuade you. Just hope you are ready for a struggle you may not win.

But for the time being I think you might be better off looking towards the modding community (I see you have already been provided a link to the main modding community for Stardew Valley) :>
I don't really see how adding choices to character creation is a bad thing or bowing down to twitter. It doesn't hurt anyone to add some more options, in fact it would make people happy, and that's the point of feel-good games like these, after all.
Oh how will you survive, so horrible for there to be an option you personally won't use. And it wouldn't in any way be "bowing down to Twitter", it would simply be listening to something that some people who enjoy the game would like (without any negative consequences for people who don't want it)
You can just about have what ever you want in this game --- if you create the mods.
