[Solved] Stone area north of shipping bin?

So, I've been looking for details on this and yielded little answer. On a standard farm, just north of the shipping bin, there's a deck of some sort. Is it meant for putting equipment on or was it designed to go somewhere that was scrapped? I'm relatively new to the game, but found no answer.

Later throughout the game, should you get married, this area will be decorated according to which character you pick; occasionally they also spend time in that area.

Leah has an unfinished Sculputre and Harvery has some flowers. (I think the same with Haley and someone else. And I think Maru has an invention there.
