Late to the party but I must say, the special "gooey" sound effects when you enter the tent with him gave me a good laugh. How is the Wild Bait, by the way? Is it any good?

It's too annoying to make, and it isn't effective enough to make it worth it.

I laughed so hard at that too...I was like "WTF seriously is that?!"

The bait is pretty bleh though, not really worth wasting the Fiber and stuff on it.

That part always makes me raise an eye-brow. But that's why Linus is one of my favorite villagers for being a weirdo. <3

I never used it, it's easier just to go to the mines and kill a bunch of bugs. :P

Using bait with your fishing rod reduces the delay before a nibble by 62.5%.

It's good bait, but it's pretty expensive to make in terms of materials, so it ends up not being worth

Sorry, I wasn't clear. Wild bait decreases nibble time by 62.5%, normal bait decreases it by 50%.

Yeah, the bait just isn't worth the effort to craft it, sadly.

I will have to test this out...there are some villagers I don't even try to get hearts with (maybe just one through quests) and Linus is one of them. I'll give it a shot though.

Linus is really easy, he likes foragables, so when you're on your way to the mines just stop by his tent and give him something.

Alternatively, if you happen to be in Winter and around his birthday, he really loves coconuts as presents. If you have access to Calico Desert you can just go grab one and give it to him for an instant four heart boost.
