Forage spawning
Anybody noticed that the forage spawn after the patch seems to make forage spawn off map more often than usual? Right now my game has a total of 7 off map forage spawn on 4 different maps.I have the forage perk that tells you where they are and I literally see them off in the distance where I cannot reach. It is annoying because for new forage items to spawn faster the old ones has to be picked otherwise you have to wait extra days for it to all reset again.

The old ones don't have to be picked, but I believe it takes acouple days to "refresh" when you do that. I've found tons of forage spawning inside bushes and such though :/

Greetings,

i have a question tor forage spawning, too:

Do they reset in some way? Or can i wait or example a week before going outside and harvest forage stuff? Because running up and down the whole city every time consumes a lot of time i need elsewhere.

Every day, each map (town, beach, forest, mountain) spawns 0-4(?) forage items. It resets on Sunday. So you can just do a lap on Wednesday and Saturday, if you want. By "reset on Sunday", I mean anything still on the ground Saturday night will be gone Sunday morning.

- Forageables (including artifact spots) spawn each day. Random quantity around 2-5. Worm spots and forageables don't share the same value.
- At the start of each day, there's a chance they'll disappear if they haven't been collected. Otherwise they'll stick around for the next day.
- Both worms and forageables have a hard limit as to how many can exist on a map at a time. A map is a place separated by a black screen (well sort of, some places are special).
- Every saturday night, they reset completely. If you haven't noticed yet, Stardew Valley considers Sunday to be the first day of the week.

Foraging on alternate days is your best bet although if you want to go maximum lazy, you could just forage Wednesday and Saturday after they've had some time to build up.

Bear in mind each season has it's own "foraging event" that you'll need to set time aside for.
Spring has Salmonberries 15-18, plus spring onions in Cindersap every day.
Summer has a few days of extra beach forageables, but I don't know the dates. You'll need to read Livin' Off the Land for that.
Fall has Blackberries 8-11.
Winter doesn't really have a timed event like the other three, but it does raise the number of artifact spots that will spawn and the maximum limit per map.

Btw, Forage resets every Sunday. Forage no longer disappears the day it isnt picked up. Just saying XD
