Shane or Sam?

Which one should i marry? Shane or Sam? Which one is the most useful?

Sam does nothing, I would pick Shane in a heartbeat, he gives you beer, pepper poppers, omletes and coffee, from my experience Sam only gives you pancakes.

All the NPCs are all 100% useful/less. Marriage is just personal preference. Shane is more childish, Shane is more depressed. Pick whichever you prefer. Neither does more work than the other.

As someone who has married both of them on two separate saves, if you want someone who's more lighthearted but seems like he wouidnt help out on a farm (if this game were real life) choose Sam. If you want someone who's depressed, more cynical and you're ok with him drinking, Shane would be the best bet. Irl Shane would be helping you out since you'd have chickens, his favorite animals.
