Oil has no quality variation so in the end if you have iridium quality truffles you should just sell them over making them into oil cause they end up being more as truffles in the end

does anything matter when it comes to like turning an item into a Artisan Goods as far as base item quality compared to Artisan Good quality

According to one of the guides I recently read, the answer is no. Base item quality does not impact artisan good quality.

The exception to this is if you have the Artisan profession; then the truffle oil sells for more than iridium truffles.

True, but barely, it might not be worth the trouble.
Still, Lewis like Truffle oil I think.

As for artisan goods in general, it's always worth turning fruit and vegetable into jelly/pickles/wines, but start with the most expensive fruit/vegetable of the lowest quality, you might want to sell directly the gold one for a quick cash rather than wait for the artisan goods.

The QualityArtisanProducts mod makes the outputs have the same star level as the input.

No, just like wine the quality level of the input does not affect the outcome of the truffle oil.

No... The requirement only Large Egg and Large Milk, not because the quality.

Only if you don't have the Artisan perk, but even then it's less than a 10% value increase from turning them into oil.
